The Brooks Cambium C17 is a comfortable and durable saddle featuring a flexible vulcanised natural rubber top that adapts to a wide range of riding conditions.

Whether used for daily commuting, gravel routes, or long-distance bicycle touring, the C17 provides stable support, natural flexibility, and lasting comfort across different roads and weather conditions.

Leather Care

The first key point in properly maintaining a leather saddle is leather care. Brooks Proofide leather dressing is recommended every 6 months.

Apply with a soft cloth.
Cover the leather top with a thin layer of Proofide.
Leave it for at least one hour to allow it to penetrate the surface.
Polish the leather surface firmly with a clean, dry, soft cloth until the remaining Proofide is removed and a healthy shine is restored.

Saddle Tension

Over time and with use, saddle leather naturally stretches and gradually loses tension. It is important to inspect your saddle every 6 months for signs of sagging or looseness.

Check from the side for any visible sagging in the leather.
Press the rear of the saddle with your palm; flex should not exceed around 5 to 6 mm.
Adjust from the front of the saddle with a torque wrench.
Turn the tension pin nut clockwise by ¼ or ½ turn, making sure only the nut turns.
